Home Buyers: How to Win in Today’s Market

These are curious circumstances at the moment in the Austin housing market where it’s a good time to sell and still a great time to buy.  However, due to the influx of new residents to the Austin-area, housing inventory levels are running at their lowest levels in the past decade. There is a lot of

You Shouldnt Buy a House If . . .

5 Reasons Why Home Ownership Might Not Be Right for You. You’ve heard it many times I’m sure – things like, “owning a home is a big part of living the American Dream.”  As a Realtor, you’d think that I’d be of the opinion that everyone should own a house but the fact of the

“This is Not My House – Sorry, I Wasted Your Time”

The other day when one of my colleagues was out of town, I was asked to help show a house to one of her buyer-clients.  It was kind of a last minute deal – the house just popped up on the market that day and the buyer was eager to pounce on it if it

I feel bad having to deliver that news because I know how frustrating it can be to spend a long time searching for the right home only to find out its no longer available. Online services such as Trulia and Zillow can be great for prospective home buyers who are doing some preliminary research to learn the ins and outs of the Austin real estate market. However, when the time comes to start an active home search is the is no substitute for the guidance, expertise and up to date property information that an Austin Realtor can provide.
