Meet Ryan France – Native Austinite & Austin Realtor

Meet Ryan France: Thank you for taking some time to learn a little bit more about me personally and my Austin real estate business.

I grew up in Northwest Austin and attended Westwood High School, not far from where I currently live and work.  My wife, Kristin, and I currently own a home in Cedar Park, just north of the Austin city limits and we love the community.  Its a great area and we couldn’t be happier.

Kristin and I recently welcomed a baby girl, Madeline Marie into our lives.  So, I have recently added Daddy to my resume.  As precious as she is, she can be an absolute handful at times and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  She has given my life a new meaning and purpose.

It’s funny, I often meet new people and when I introduce myself as being a native “Austinite”, quite often I get the response, “really, that’s rare.”  I guess when you think abo ut it, with the influx of new residents from other parts of the country, that might be true.  However, it’s a strong testament to the growth of the city, the local economy and as a result the strong desire of others to relocate and live in Austin.

Upon graduating from Westwood, I was fortunate to receive the opportunity to attend the University of Texas on a baseball scholarship.  My Senior year at UT the team won the National Championship – the crowning achievement of my time as a Horn.

Ryan FranceAfter completing my degree at Texas, I was blessed to be able to follow my lifelong dream of playing professional baseball.  I played for parts of three minor league seasons, first with the Houston Astros and later with the Washington Nationals.

Despite my effort and strong will, my professional baseball career did not follow the exact path that I had envisioned and I decided that the time had come for me to pursue a different avenue.  There are definitely days when I miss the baseball field.  Yet, I still get my competitive fix by coaching baseball teams here locally and giving private pitching lessons, when possible.

And that of course brings me to the secondary of my business, which is referral.  I know that I must provide the type of value that encourages my clients to feel comfortable and confident introducing me to the people in their life that they care about most.  After all . . .

A genuine referral is when you send someone you care about to someone you trust.
