My End Of The Bargain

Tuesday Sime

Two days ago, my kids — still dressed in their pajamas — came bounding down the stairs. In unison, they were shouting, “We want to make slime!” Ahh … slime. I can’t hear the word slime without thinking about Double Dare or You Can’t Do That On Television. Two Nickelodeon game shows that ran in the 80’s and 90’s. Shows that my sister and I used to watch on our summer vacations, as kids. Where Maddy and Collin got the idea for slime … heavens knows....

Coming Out Of The Closet

Voices Of Impact Email

On the morning of my 35th birthday — a little over two years ago now — in a blog entry, I wrote this …. “I’m a firm believer that we are all put on this earth to make a certain meaningful contribution. We all have a calling, a purpose; yours different from mine. The lucky few find that calling from a young age. For others, it may take years or decades. Even some, it may never actually be realized. I’m...

Punctuated By Positivity

Punctuated by positivity

I sat across the closing table from a client, a couple mornings ago. At one point, she paused mid-signature, exhaled, looked around and remarked, “Gosh, this buying and selling a home is a lot of work . . .” Rebecca and I started the process way back in February. Five Minute Friday

Five Minute Fridays

I had a great weekend and a busy birth “day” that was filled with baseball and family celebration. Thats the ‘tops,’ in my book. Allergy attacks aside, this is my favorite time of the year. Spring has sprung. Weather’s great. Opening Day for Major League Baseball is just days away. My Fantasy Baseball Team...

Cheers, To One Year

Cheers to One Year

One year ago, to the day, I sat in front of my computer screen, just as I am this morning. Except for, I was almost paralyzed. Questioning whether I should go through with it. I’d worked on that article for weeks. Start. Stop. Start. Stop. Start. My lizard brain was winning the mental tug-o-war. Sure, I’d been writing the newsletter consistently for five or six years. And even more aggressively for the full year prior....

Five Minute Friday

Five Minute Fridays

“I just finished reading your weekly email as I always do, even if a couple of days go by after it lands in my inbox. Your stories are always engaging and thought provoking, and I really enjoy reading them!” That was Tracey’s response to last week’s article. Truthfully, it’s the type of response I get often — particularly the, “when I get to it part.” I understand my emails can be lengthy. Then again, it’s time that...
